Indigenous Rites

I attended a tribal gathering before i flew to Hawaii. I had to come and see about the tribes that resides here in the North Pacific.
Day Break Star is a school, a culture center of knowledge raising awareness of the Tribes that thrived here not long ago. I was privelidged enough to march with them back to the school through the woods. A small drum ceremony and chanting all the while likkle indians runnin round. It felt good to see this here. To connect and learn about culture that is present here in Seattle.

One struggle many peoples.
These people had acres upon acres of land until the US Military rolled in and claimed property.
40 years ago men and women and grandparents and even children revolted against the military, scaling the tall fences. All that is left is this school. A reminder of all that warrior energy being channeled through the education of the Arts. Powerful testament of peace and transcendence through the struggle of the indigenous race.

I'm planning to take some classes here and hoping I can carve a big ass Totem pole! A good life goal rite?!
